PIZZA MAKING INSIDER TIPS
Directly from our in-house pizza maker
- GOOD PIZZA TAKES TIME
Did you know the whole process to make dough can take up to two days? The dough needs to take it’s time to grow into yummy pizza, and it doesn’t want to be touched while it’s relaxing either…
- NO DOUGH IS EVER THE SAME
Temperature and humidity play a big role on how the pizza dough is. There is no exact time in pizza making because a sunny hot day vs. a rainy cold winter day can really affect how the dough will be. Only an experienced pizza maker knows how to adjust times and temperatures for perfection.
- TOMATO BASE IS NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY
Tomato base is not always the best because it doesn’t go with everything. A good pizza is all about choosing the right mix of ingredients.
- SAUCE, THEN STRETCH
We make the pizza, put the tomato or cheese or both on, then we stretch it out just a little bit more before putting it in the oven.
- BUT NOT EVERYTHING GOES IN THE OVEN
Most pizza’s are finished when they come out. The one pizza that get’s dressed before cooking? The Margherita!
